If anybody does want one, give me a shout as they're £44 to buy.

There's a guy in the US who ships them over

I normally give the diagonal strap a pull tighter and the belt seams to lock me in tight.

This made me laugh:

"Lower your lap or run times or your money back."

Must add 50bhp

it will though....

Have you ever been round track in a standard road car seat, with standard 3pt seatbelt...

you have to hold yourself in the seat

Still a shite gimmick in my opinion :/ If its that important to you why on earth areant you running buckets and decent harnesses

also....

its just the lap belt that tightens :/ fair enough but i would have thought both would have been better

I never doubted my SRi seats and standard seatbelt, always held me in nicely so I was never sliding about. But I guess your standard 1.0 seat doesn't have any support.

Granted giving it death on the road is a bit different to track I guess, but I think it would have coped fine.

you cannot compare a bucket/harness set up to a standard seat and lap belt - theres just no comparesment.

I'm not, I'm comparing it to your usual Corsa seats, the SRi seats held you in quite nicely.

Obviously buckets and harnesses are going to be better, otherwise people would just put SRi seats in their cars

i sampled one of these devices on the trade stand at autosport international.
it is a really good idea and it does hold you tight in your seat.

there was only one thing that concerned me slightly-
i'm not sure how the device would act in the event of a collision.
how would the device react to seatbelt pre-tensioners being fired?
