i know its probs the wrong forum, but i want some sensible answers.
End of march my mums getting married. Shes asked me to give her away. I cant find info about making a speach for this? do i have to make a speach, im majorly shy at speaking out in a big crowd.
All the speaches i can find that have to be done are things like farther of bride/groom, best man etc etc.

I don't think you do.
It is mainly just groom/best men/father of the bride.

Just do something along the lines of how happy you are for her (if you are that is ) I'm sure she wouldnt expect a 12 page essay

Or just get an onion and pretend you are crying to much to give a speech
A)your mum will think you are happy for her etc
B) no speech
Seriously though see what your mum would like and then go from there and just try and put a few words together to make her day that little bit better

You/father of the bride is the first, shortest and easiest speech. Thank everybody for sharing the special day with them, say how your mum is so special to you and thank her for everything shes done, say how pleased you are for her and you know that she will be in good hands with her new fella yada yada yada and then introduce the groom.
2 minutes, job done
