Just been reading some old stuff on Hudders & found a quote from Bill Shankly
"I tell you, if I had had the money to buy Ron Yeats and Ian St John while I was with
Huddersfield I would never have become Liverpool manager !
With Law, Wilson, Yeats and St John in the same team I would have wiped the floor with
the whole of Britain. Nobody would have stopped Huddersfield."
Makes me wonder if the board had stumped up the cash to buy these players if we would have been in the same place Liverpool are now........

I'd possibly rise if the comment was from someone whose team they supported had won anything more than a mickey mouse league.
