Anyone work for/or know a company that wants to help out for free advertising space on the car and a website?
The car ( http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/projects/skyline.htm ) is competing in all 6 rounds of the UK TimeAttack club class.
Donnington
Knockhill
Silverstone
Oulton Park
Snetterton
Brands Hatch
The events are televised.
Things that we could do with help on....
Bodywork - so a bodyshop pref local to NE Scotland, but willing to travel for the right deal.
Fabrication - Would like an FIA approved full cage.....
Currently helped by
Ultralite
Toyo
Ksport
The Garage
RIPS
and a karate club
pic from last year

200sx s14, currently 430bhp-ish my boss's mate Pete is driving for our garage.
we still have abit of work to do yet, carbon doors, bonnet, re-wire, its going for full custom cage in 2 weeks, fit seats etc. will be ready in time though.
We dont know what to think about how the Timeattack is going to be this year with 200+ being accepted. Most probably its going to be chaos, and with your best time of all day being accepted everyones going to be flat out all day, instead of just the flying laps, so could be very conjested.
Bren is entering in Time Attack this year, and the Apex 200's will be there again so there will be 3 Apex cars

there wont be 200+
prob around 70 in club class.... 30 or so in Pro
The time from the heats decide the 'super battle'.... The final X cars go into the super battle which is a 20min session.... so its like the Pro was last year

Not yet, the list of things to do is long and endless...
TBH a cage improvement is a season end job.... too late for this year.
I wanted to buy another R32 to work on (shell wise, cage etc) to get a cracking base car, light as hell etc... then just transfer over the running gear/engine etc once its ready

What does the time attack series cost you to enter?
£1000 entry cost for what? all events?
Do you have to pay more each time you turn up at a track?
That's good value if that £1000 enters you for all 6 events or whatever.
obviously you have massive costs in prep, tyres, maitenance and repairs etc... but for entry fee's alone that's pretty cheap (for a televised event)
does it require a racing license to enter?
(not that I'm going to be entering hah) it's just curious about it.
Maybe one day I'll have the money to build a cool race worthy car and I'd be looking for a series to race in.

it was £1400 or so for the full series... 200+vat for each event.
TV coverage will be more biased towards the Pro cars as they pay more, and are generally better
No licence, but you do need race suit, gloves, boots, FIA seat/belts.
Control tyres have been introduced this year too. 888's, or just any Toyo actually.
A sponsor paid our fee's
