Opened the curtains this morning, sun shining, looking like a lovely day, look down at my car and oh good god
I knew the paintwork wasn't in the greatest of condition but I got a few pics of the roof with the sun on it. Anyone who doesn't like swirl marks may want to look away now
It will be getting resprayed at some point but it could be over a year off yet, if not more. Will I be able to get it good again myself in the mean time?
If so, any tips welcome

Don't really wanna be paying a bodyshop for that then in maybe a years time be paying em again to respray it too. Just wondering if I could sort it myself, I've only polished it once in the 2 years I've had it, so I'm not really that well up on that kind of stuff

I would take it to a body shop and for £50/60 they will buff the whole car with a cutting compund to get rid on 90% of those swirls!

Mmm, probably give that a try then, it's really annoying when my brother's Vec GSi is sat on the front, gleaming and black, and mine just isn't black anymore, when you see em side by side it's just not black

I've heard of scratch x before, think I'll try that, I've already got some nxt wax in the garage. It's not been used since June

Personally I'd advise against Scratch-X on the whole car, I did my Corsa before and it was a nightmare to get off!

I think subconciously this is why it hasn't been washed since June, I always get that deflated feeling when I start drying it off and it's grey At least when it's dirty it covers up the shit paint
