recently bought a 32" hd ready LG lcd screen...
running it on dvi atm..
was wondering if id benefit with a hdmi gfx card on my pc? or is dvi as good?

HDMI and DVI are essentially exactly the same thing (i think ) its just that you can send audio over hdmi whereas you can with DVI

i've noticed that although i have 7.1 surround sound anyway so its all good!

hdmi and dvi are completely different, dvi is just a digital version of vga whereas hdmi carries both picture and sound

DVI is exactly hdmi minus sound, it's completely different from vga although can still carry an analougue signal, ie vga if need be.

dvi is just a digital version of vga
hdmi is just a digital version of vga + carries audio
not exactly that different are they?
