if you dont mind me asking how much did you / are you paying for them to fit the laminate?
i have got 2 rooms similar size and am getting a mate to do it but if its not too expensive would rather just pay them and get it done quicker!!

For a proper job you'd be looking at nearer 4 hours

I'd say up to a day for a decent job really, 3 hours would be very rushed!
They have charged you £250 which is a bit more than a days labour rate for a carpenter/joiner so im guessing they priced it to take a day.

Its far quicker doing laminate with two people so when you say "joiner" then i guess its one guy. Thats actually quite expensive imo for what you are getting.

Im a floorer and i'd say 3 hours each, if he's on his own. and £250 to fit that is cheap! I charge £10 a metre to fit. but shops usually add on £2, so they make some money out of the fitting.

We charge £14.95 and square metre at work. Hallways are the nicest place to be fitting a laminate to be honest, he's going to be in the hall for a few hours ( depending on amount of doors etc )
