Got some decent quality digital masterleads coaxial cable i got in an extension kit, screened etc, just wondered if this is suitable for a second run to upgrade to sky plus or am i better getting some shotgun twin ct63 cable to replace it instead?

AFAIK co-ax cable voltages are higher than interconnects so subject to less signal degredation. The cable you have now should be fine.
