hey my friend has just recently bought a gsi and hes sayin he will blow my doors off lol, is this true? i thought there was only about 3bhp in it ?? are they bit more responsive having a airflow meter ? il probably find out in couple nights when i meet up with him, just wondered wot peoples thoughts were. Which is the better all rounder the ecotec or non ecotec..

There is a VERY slight difference between the two. Ecotec is newer, so chances are his GSi will have lost a couple of bhp over the years.

my gsi used to be loads quicker than my mates sport. never thought the sport was that quick tbh

cant see there being any diff really...
the gsi also came with same engine as sport.., aswell as the early c16 engine
GSI would be quicker, if it was the basic spec version, no sunroof or electric window's etc

i could belive that the sport would be bit heavier as there normally fully loaded with all the electrics, my mates gsi hasnt even got electric windows lol..

But the sports have a closer ratio gearbox to compensate for the extra weight...

My sport was pretty much the same to a mates gsi, when he had it.
No difference tbh

GSi's have F15's, and the sports have F15CR's IIRC
