Sod it, if I'm getting the tailgate sprayed, semi-smoothed it is
I'll only regret not doing it.

I didn't get around it, but if you use a button it will just keep the solenoid pushed out so you wouldnt any problems anyway. I use the alarm so i have to pull the boot up quickly before the motor drops power

I saw a basic Corsa, would have been a Merit I guess, that had the wiper hole smoothed already so that model didn't even come with a rear wiper if you can source one, might be a cheap option.
Don't know how common they are though
But semi-smooth ftw

If a tailgate didn't have a wiper hole in already it might be a factor tailgate. Some factor parts you have to drill a hole in for things like wipers, aerials etc.

Yes you do
Tester must be able to gain access to check boot floor and rear suspension tops

they cant fail for no spare because theres no legal requiremnt for a spare, therefor they cant fail you for something thats not there
it has nothign to do with access to te boot

but that can be checked through the car/back seats
so a car can't be failed if you cant get into boot from outside

The tester must have easy access to the rear
This doesnt mean they have to move the seats to check
It will fail if the boot wont open
