heard it on here somewhere before, maybe ste l? someone said it definitely strengthens the mounts so it's not a bad idea at all.

it just fills the gaps in the mount and makes them abit stiffer

THe idea Jim is to stiffen it up a bit but still have a bit more play than a solid mount which IMO is only suitable for people who like to feel like they are at war every time they hit an uneven surface

as fad said, slightly stiffer for road use, but still keep a bit of movement

much better than just normal rubbers

make sure its 'low modulus' silicone if your going to use that.

but your better using windscreen bonder.

Reason i say only use 'low modulus' is that any other silicone rots rubber, so you could end up with a shafted engine mount otherwise.

also can use a fiesta mount for the rear gearbox mount to stiffin it up

mk3 fiest just alot stronger so the rear doesnt sag as much
