Welcome to my rant about 3
Basically I received a phone call from them about being eligable to upgrade early... So I looked into what phone I wanted (Lg Viewty) and had a browse on mobiles.co.uk (which I was impressed with  )
At the current moment in time I get
400 mins
250 texts
for an average price of £19.40 a month
I ask about getting an LG Viewty and they say it will cost me:
£30 per month for
mix & match 500 (500 units)
No loyalty discount given  
going back to mobiles.co.uk
I could get the LG Viewty on O2 for an average price of £24 a month!!!
This will include
600 mins
500 texts
(its the same with orange but they offer unlimited texts a month for the same price!)
Thank god I only have 2 months left with 3

If it's an o2 online deal there will be a bolt on you can choose for free, unlimited texts is one of them.

It just takes the piss tbh, this would have been my 4th contract with them and new customers are receiving exactly the same deals

They dont discount on upgrades if you change your tariff - so ask how much on your current tariff?
Nor do they match chequeback deals, which most dont(?)
I suggest you stop whinging & channel your energies into logical thinking rather than pointless ranting

I normally do mate, but it's just a pain in the arse when you have to get sorted with a new phone company + it will be in my name and my bank account yet another phone in my name

They would let me change tariff at all (even to a newer one which was the same price as what I was already paying...!) whilst I was still within my 18 month contract. Just transferred back to T-Mobile and paid 3 off... 4 months early - was worth it to get rid of them.
