is it right i have to pay for using nokia maps?

does the phone have a built in gps receiver? so i could just use tomtom mobile instead? or doesnt tomtom recognise it.

Nokia maps is free to download from their site. don't download them via your data connection on the phone.

You have a built in GPS so they will work.

As for TomTom I've nto tired it but it may also be possible to get a full copy and install.

i have unlimited data on my contract, do es that mean i can use the sat nav on my phone for free?

No it doesn't cost you to use the sat nav.
Only if you use the voice directions iirc.

If you have unlimited data then you can download the maps on the move but it's quicker to download them on your PC and transfer them.
