i don't think that site is supposed to show you where u are located. I think that is based on where your 'home' is set on google maps.

I think it's just supposed to show you local satelite positions

The home icon shows where your proxy server is (i guess). At home it puts me near brazil (not a clue why) however here at work its about a mile out.

Its to track shuttles and such. People who want to see space stations going over and the likes
