this is linked to a previous post, fitted and x14xe into a 1.2 16v wirings a nightmare, all wired inside the car now,all colour for colour as normal, still won't start seems no spark or fuel... I'm left with from the car loom a thin black,brown,brown/red trace,brown/black trace and 2 red/blue trace and on the engine loom I have a brown/yellow trace,black/white trace,black/blue trace and black/green trace.Any1 know if some of the colours differ and need to be joined to another colour of wire? For some reason am thinkin immobiliser fault but both cars were running fine before and av swapped chip in the key and the transponder..... any help a.s.a.p. would be great as the boy wants his motor back!
cheers

you could try connecting the black to an ignition live, and the brown to an earth first (thats what colours they are) when you put the x14 loom in did you fit all the fuel relays etc....on the little square plug for the x14xe there is
black- ignition live
red- permanent live
thick red/blue- live to fuel pump
now if youve wired up the transponder wires (not sure what these are) you should get it started, after connecting that ignition live (black) and earth ( brown up) i would then check if you getting a live at the fuel pump (red/blue)

all wires are connected that can be,including ecu ign +ve fuel pump wire etc, relays were on loom, already done all they test and so far it seems no live to pump from relay, but changed the relays still no joy!it doesn't make sense all corresponding wires are joined,it should go,av done prob in the region of 20 odd-30 xe conversion and never had this bother, its only coz it was an x12xe that seems to be the prob
