Anyone heard these before or know how good they are?

What would the bass be like on them, could you do without a sub?
Would you need to amp them to get the best out of them?

components are no good for bass.
they are for the high notes.
sub is best if you want bass, decent 6x9's arnt bad either

Lot of rubbish, they'll be better for bass than the standard ones, a sub will go to lower frequencies.
I'd have a set of components over standards and a sub or 6x9's and anything.

Ive got focal polykevlar 165 something or others in my doors but I guess mine must be a previous model because the crossover is different. Id definetly recommend using an amp on them and I can tell you now they are not easy to fit, custom pods and a jigsaw were needed for mine.
The sound is good but dont expect them to play as low as a sub. Not a big fan of low bass anymore but they are good at making mid bass which is more a sound quality thing than being able to shake everything
