I had the camera up at my workshop today to took a few photos of the bits i have in for work.

Well i thought people on here may be interested in seeing how we get on with this conversion.
A very good friend of mine asked weather i would be able to do a bike engine conversion on his 04 GasGas450 as he wanted more power an saw some on the work i have done on cars and some of the fab work i have done in the past aswell as having a RAM170 quad with a CCM644 supermoto bike engine.
After a long chat we have started the conversion.

The bike engine we have is a 04 triumph daytona 650cc which gives out around 112bhp and with a quad weight nothing it should give a very high power to weight ratio.

will keep this post updated on how we go.

So here are some photos
Just waiting of some spacers being made (as i havent got a lathe yet myself) then i can get all the mounts 100%, the engine is temp in place where its needs to be.
should not be to long before its finished.

Amazing, they are so much fun. Thats gonna be spending most of its life with front wheels off the floor lol.
My mate had a honda 450r quad best summer of my life spent on that. Crashed it for him into stone gate post broke all my ribs. Would do it again now though.

absolutely superb beardy, I do still intend to build my old frame up with a 1200 bandit engine as they are quite a torquey bike engine from what i have gathered and will suit shoving the 4 wheels and extra weight a bit better.

Did you get them plastics on the Ram alright that i sold you??
