Found my old sub I used in my car and want to hook it up to the PC. It has two ports where the wires have to be screwed onto.

What cable do I need and will it plug into a standard PC soundcard?

Well, I think you might struggle to get something decent out of it, but i think technically it can be done.

You will need to get phone to phone out, one out of pc to an amp, then connect sub to amp.
The amp will also need a power supply.

Alternatively, buy a proper surround sound setup for £150 (i have the logitech z5000 model).

you need an amp with a 12 volt power supply putting out enough amps to power it then youd just wire pos and neg up to it like a car connect the sub using RCA connections (red and white cables) and get a RCA to stereo convertor connector.

only diffiuclt bit will be getting a powersupply as i believe most decent amps run above 20amps
