ok i whent out yesterday to clean up my manifold a wee bit, when i took the engine cover off and started the engine to dry the water off, there was a bad knocking noise coming from the engine, when i put my finger on the first (timingbelt side) spark plug lead and pressed down a little it started banging. the rest of them are all fine and only seems to be that one that is banging, the car still runs fine and stuff but its realy anoying me. does any1 know what the noise is?
any help much apreciated

take the lead off and check the screw on top of the spark plug... Found my xe had worked themselfs loose.. Might be your problem, or it could be the lead..

ok thnx, once it stops raining i will go have a check, so u dnt think it can be anything major then??

ok had a look and yes was 2 of teh plug had came loose, so got them tightend and im going to buy a new set tomorow as the ones in just now arnt looking that good lol
