mate has just blown his gsi (x16xe) up, 1 piston has smashed to pieces and is unrepairable.
BUT.....
he has a 1.4 16v (x14xe) engine, will this go straight in and use gsi loom and ecu? or will it have to be changed?

It'll need to be changed m8 as i think they differ.
ECU deffinatly along with transponder etc etc
But other than that a str8 fit!

yeah i know engie just drops in, just after looking at both, the engine are identicle (-bore size obviously)
any chance gsi would work? just that the sri 1 is abit cut and shut.
he has sri ecu, transponder and key
