Hi guys, quick question really.. Me and Gaz visited a house tonight which we do like a lot, although it does need new windows and doors and a new kitchen.
What would you estimate the average price of a kitchen the size of 9' by 9.2'.....
Also whats the average price for windows and doors, 7 windows, which are quite slim in height but quite longin width and a bog standard door. Any help much appreciated.

Not really sure there is such a thing as average price for a Kitchen you can pay as much or little as you want, at work we have one lady who is struggling to fit a kitchen out for 3k in the flats we are building where as a house we are renovating the lady there is struggling to fit out her kitchen for less than 30K!

We got all our kitchen units and worktops and tiles for under £1k from Taskers, by far the cheapest place and the stuff is decent.

Units can be built up & positioned by yourself to cut down cost, get a local joiner/kitchen fitter to cut/fit the bunker & you'll be laughing!

Easy enough to do yourself.
Just need to remember to take your time when doing things. I used to rush and then not be happy with the job and end up re-doing stuff.

if you unpack it and build it up a good joiner would screw it to the wall in a day

If you want the mfi kitchens a bit cheaper than what mfi do them for, go to howdens joinery, its exactly the same stuff. Onlt problem is you have to find someone to fit it for you.
The windows and doors can be bought at a trade place, get the sizes including the cills and take them to them and they will give you a quote. Pretty simple to fit too

Get rough costs of the work involved and take it off the asking price. Offer it - They can only say no!

Well the big drawback now is how mortgages work, you used to be able to offer them X amount under the asking price, but still take out a mortgage for the price the house is worth...
You can't do that anymore
