Ive been using Megs Terry Towels, and tbh they are rubbish, no matter how much you wash them, they always leave bits over the car.
Is this any good

Pretty much the same as the Meguiars version, the Water Magnet or something. Highly recommended - people say it creates swirl marks etc, I say wash your car properly first.

best off with a chamois in my opinion. Ive got the Meguirs microfibre thing and they get worse with time wereas a chamois will always be a good job

Agreed, not very absorbant and induce swirls imo.

My brother is probably one of the top detailers in the country and he knows his stuff.
I'm sure he uses his towel in a dabbing motion and just lets water soak up instead of rubbing it.
When i see him, i'll double check that it is the Poorboys one he recommends.

get an aquatouch towel from serious performance. best towel available! Megs water magnet are not that safe and do add swirling/marring!

Just dab the moisture and use a qd spray, your brothers set up is superb btw

Just never use it in the garden.

i just bought this one.
Saw it in a local motorfactors for £9, then i saw it in a local houseware shop in a small car section for £3.49. So i got one, feels a bit weird

i have to say im really not impressed with alot of megs products at all.
I bought some megs gold class liquid wax, and some tech wax paste some time ago now, it was no better then products i had used at half the price, it gave a good shine, but durability was very poor i though. Anyway i was that suprised i sent them back to megs and asked them to send me through some terry towels and wax applicators as a replacement.
Anyway, the terry towels always leave bits on the car no matter how often you wash them, and the applicator split the first time i used it,
The only megs product i like so far is the Step 1 paint cleaner.
