i used to cut springs on a regular basis but i used to clamp them in with exhaust clamps! alto i have been known to use the odd cable tie to just keep the spring in it's locator lo

It would be less dangerous if it had no springs at all tbh. i can see them snapping and the spring falling out, resulting into a blow out or worse break failure.

Idiotic if u ask me.
