This is why Chelsea will never conquer Europe, too much unsettled staff at the club, things change too often for any squad/staff momentum to take place.
This is how I see it, Grant knows where it went wrong (and it didn't really become a major downfall) so would Grant not be the best man to sort the problems in the team out? he's worked with the players for 8months and knows how the current squad work together, the best man to correct things would be Grant as he knows where it was lost. Having said that though you just imagine if Drogba's 25 yarder hard a tad more curl on it, or Lampard's close range shot just crept under the bar, then what? Chelsea probably would be CL winners and all this mess would be thin air.
