Hi,

My exhaust manifold on my 1.4 sport 16v is damaged and wondering whether to get another standard one, or an aftermarket one.
What I'm asking is whats the price difference between them, and of course the performance difference.

Thanks

Was the difference a big difference? Where did you feel the difference too?

in my opinion it was worth the money...2nd,3rd gear pickup seemed much much better and throttle response was a lot better, theyre worth the money just because the build quality was much better than the standard one, flanges etc were thicker, sounded neat too,as i said though, bang a decat on at the same time to gain real benefits, theyre cheap and youd save on postage if you got em both at same time

Do you think a decat alone would make any difference?

yeah, your not gonna smoke any scooby's or owt mind lol, but the throttle response was better with one on a standard system and felt a little more torquey (not lots...i bought one cos my cat split and im a cheapskate)

Ah right, well in that case I think I'll go ahead and do it.

Price range, so I'm looking at £150 - £200 for a good manifold then right?
