Mum has had the gas and electric peeps on the phone. They said that we are using 5,000KW for Electric and 35,000KW for gas.
I thought mum got confused and was thinking 35KW but no its 35 THOUSAND KILOWATTS !!!
How the hell can we use that much gas ??? Any ideas if we are being screwed ??

Considering on the news today they were saying the average gas bill is going to be £1500, it sounds a bit out

Is the heating constantly on, do you burn electricity (leave lights/TV on when no ones in the room) Im quite para about wasting power, always going round the house turning things off.....usually wherever Jades been prior turning them on, my heatings been off for about a month now.
Bill could deffo also reflect how you live.

For your sized house that seems like a hell of a lot. I don't think my parents house costs that much... My flat is about £40 a month for electricity, but I don't know how to turn the heating on

I live in a six bedroom house, and I dont even pay half that... Like Colin though, i tend to only use energy when I need it.

well if its worth anything your 6 bed pad should be 6 times my 1 bed shack so 6x40
£240 would possibly be more relistic to what it should be.

have you been having estimated bills for quite a while that have been underestimated, then when a true read has been gived you owe quite a bit? That sometimes happens.
