Replace the circlip or replace the shaft.
But you need to know what type of gearbox you are running to know what shafts you are running! and if you are running the 1.2 box and you intend to fit the f20 box then you will need to change the shafts/joints anyway

1.2 will be an f10 or f13, think the 2.0 8v only came with f16 and f20

If it is an f16 or an f18 then the shafts will be fine with an f20
if its an f10 or f13 then the shafts wont fit!

Would need new 2.0 conversion mounts then I'd suppose.

I'm running an F16 gearbox on my XE which is fine tbh may go for an F20 if I see one cheap!

I doubt its an engine mount problem tbh.

Hissing will be a leak somewhere on the brake servo pipe.

Is there a plate bolted to the gearbox around the drivers side diff oil seal?
