Saw a car on here with what appeared to be a dutch plate... but had a standard UK reg number. Are these legal? It was basically just a normal german plate, same font as ze german plate etc (just for the few that don't know what pressed plates are)
If so, I might consider purchasing a set for the Audi

As long as they reflect and have the UK font, then they are legal. Matt L has just bought some legal ones.
Mine aren't legal but they are quite subtle

my mate has got them on his mk3 golf gti. hes got a german pressed plate with the 'D' on. he got pulled last week and fined £30

They're €10 or so here.
And you don't get yellow German plates, they're all white.
