I couldnt really give a shit. He'd of gone mental if he was a footballer or not IMO as just has that mentality.

I should really hate him for the fact he played for rangers and his actions whilst he was there but i don't, i feel sorry for him.
The friends that leeched off him when he was rich and famous are now conspicious by their absence.

What I cant understand is that he had well documented metal issues even when he was still playing football yet still no body done anything to help him.

Spot on there. People used him and now couldn't give a toss. It's a shame for him, really. He has brought a lot on himself too, but seems a very lonely bloke now.

He is an absolute legend, sad to see he was able to get into this state.
Surely someone could try and stop him before it got so bad

For once, I'm with Cosmo.
Shame he's gone this way, but with or without the money he'd have probably done the same.

Feel sorry for him, but he is a grown man and can look after himself. Nevertheless an absolute legend, "that" freekick against ar5ena1 was legendery.

As Cosmo says, would probably have happened whatever he did. However I think his move to Spurs came too soon for him and London life just accelerated his problems and his addictions. Venables could have done a lot more when Gazza was younger but unfortunately unlike Fergie/Benitez/Nigel Adkins he was more interested in being one of the lads. He could've been one of the greats imo.
