here's my sri 20xe project, its going to be my new run around. i have become bored of my corsa c 1.0 12v nice car just not quick enough (clean and tidy will post few pictures), this will be my run around as i am also building my mk2 gte c20let project!
anyway i got it cheap from a mates brother as the cambelt jumped off because the engine mount bolts came out for some unknown reason! the plan is to fit my old GTE engine which i know all the history and has been looked after. the Sri has cover 69,000 miles and is pritty solid.
The plans is it re-gasket my GTE engine and tidy the rust parts up and have it back on the road in 2-3months ready for when i go to the ring again in sept.
here are pictures of it when i got it:
Work so far:
Plans:
Weld b piller cracks
sort rust at windscreen
put white wheels off my corsa c
re-underseal
paint fuel tank
fit new GTE brakes
paint suspension arms
Sort engine
and the list gets bigger........
let me know what you think
cheers dale

it will be, got present throught the post yesterday in the shape of kent cams box's how would it be cheaper to re-shell it? its cost me £50ish for rear panel and £3 for that sheet of metal which is half used + my time! The other parts i got is me being picky its all about contacts too, it will cost me the same to build this as it would be to buy a dodgy one. will post more pictures tomorrow of new parts
