Author urgent gearbox help needed

whilst driving the car, i came to a roundabout, put it in 1st and it was sluggish, then 2nd was worse.

came to a speedbump and it wouldnt move at all, turns out for me to get 1st i need to lift and put it into reverse, for 2nd i need to lift the gearknob and put it into far left and down.

reverse is non existant now

the box is a f20 and the car is a c20xe

any help very much appreciated. i am at my wits end tbh

i would check the linkage first before anything else it might of come loose or something which i have had happen to me before

yea sounds like linkage had the same prob when i fitted a 1.6 to ma m8s car the other week pain in the arse to do those gear linkages
