How?

You still use the same amount of petrol, not like you are squeezing extra miles out of a tenner?

I never let it go in the red, still costs me the same amount in petrol

I've driven around on zero and also run out on 7.

They're easily fooled if you change your driving style.

I did this with a courtesy car the other week. They gave it to me and said it was pretty much empty so I could return it empty. Except they didnt check the Range reading which said it had 65 miles left. I gave it back on 0....was chuffed with myself.

Even if it did mean i had to go to the petrol station everyday and fill it up 2ltrs at a time lol

Yes, I like playing games with my trip computer also.

When the petrol guage gets to 1.8th of a tank, the light comes on, that says 20 miles on the range. Once, due to petrol strikes, I got 100 miles (80 when the trip said 0 lol).

I don't like running my car down so low to get the best possible range. It means it costs more to fill up

Well I filled up 29.39 litres last night, which cost me £34.65 @ 117.9p/litre. I worked out that if I had a diesel 1.3CDTi, it'd only cost me £4 more to fill up @ 129.9p/litre. But it'd drive nicer and get even more miles. I'd pay £4 for that luxury.

I wouldnt trust mine if it was below 5 as it can change so quickly, for example..if its reading 130 miles and i put my foot down it can go down 5 miles in about a minute, plus i hate it getting so low.Its on 108 atm and ill be filling up tomorow.

I always believed a rumour that you should never fill your tank up to the top because once youve replaced the cap and started it up the system becomes pressurised and so the fuel level is raised artificially and if there is no space left it runs out of an over flow? Ive no idea where i got that from, but its always been there in my mind, so I never 'fill it up' even when going on long trips?
