Hi all new to this site. ive just put a cav x20xev in my corsa, engine is in and running all ok. i have gone to link up the gearbox and i dont have 2nd or 4th!! what is happening is the linkage is hit the steering column? the box is an f18 and i still have the corsa linkage on it.
any help thanks

have you run the 15mm spacer between the mount? or have you just bolted them mount to the box

hi mate yes i have put 3x 5mm spacers 2x on box side and 1x on the other side, ive heard some people dont use them???? is right?? i did notice that the gearbox mount under the car was not sitting right?? iam lost.

Try removing the spacers.

hi mate i will take them off tonight. one other point the drivers side engine mount ?i had to make a mount to fit it, was a nightmare because of the p/s pump.and the corsa diesel rad would not fit. if cant solve these probs the engine will be for sale and an xe will go in.

You will need to redesign the front mount at a guess. I had a custom front mount to start with on my XE build...but it also fouled on the PAS pump...so i got Chris Astley to make me one.

hi all the spacers are off and yes i have 5 gears but not great needs a bit of adjusting.not worried about the mount for now. ok new problem is i fitted the anti roll bars back on the car and the bar that connects from right to left is now hitting the exhaust down pipe this is getting on my tits now. is the xe manifold better for this problem or will i still have to use spacers? on the cav the brake servo pipe went straight into the inlet manifold!! but on the corsa their is a valve in the middle do i still need this valve on this engine??? any help again is good

You can buy spacer blocks for the front antiroll bar. It drops it a few mm...
