one of my spax rear shocks is fooked.
changed my rear shocks back to standard ones but kept the 60mm springs - i'm surprised how smooth it is!!! even with the spax fronts.
i have bought some 90mm springs - is there anyway i can fit those and keep some of this new-found comfort?
could i do a 90mm drop with these for example and have the best of both?
bilstein 'original' dampers
if i stick with the spax at the rear i'll have to buy 1 replacement shock - would this be a better / safer bet?

you can adjust the spax to be softer or harder though mate so upto you

i always found it really hard no matter what position it was in...
i'm thinking either buy 1 spax shock for £58 odd or buy new shocks which might make it ride a bit smoother...

There harder because there uprated and designed for improved handling.
If you want comfort keep the suspension standard.

but i'm going down 90mm... purely for looks
i wanted to know if there were any shocks that would do 90mm but not be hard as f*ck.

90mm wont work with standard shocks, shocks WILL bottom out. ideally you will need some extra short dampers, I do a damper that is designed to work with my 90mm rear springs, damping is adjustable from standard rate up to being suitable for over 350lb rear springs.

dave - what will the ride comfort be like on your dampers? how much are they?
i have a set of your 90mm springs in the post (from kangaroojack) and was either going to use my spax rsx dampers or look for a more comfy alternative...

think the dampers are 130pound..
ive got 90mm rears and spax rsx dampers and its fine...
little stiff but i dont want it to handle like a boat....

thanks for that mate - i have my spax setup on the front and 60mm spax springs and standard dampers on the rear. it rides really well tbh.
i think i'll put the spax back on when the 90mm springs arrive...
