i was about to ask the same thing... my sisters bday soon and got a nice shot of her dog to put on canvas... how do you go about doing it.. here is wat i want put on canvas....

not sure how close you are but my missus used somewhere in crewe (if you want ill find the name out) but they were the cheapest she found

Loads of online companies do it and post to you already mounted in a wooden frame.
Photobox.co.uk is who I would usually go for.

Aslong as your picture has a large enough resolution as canvas prints need big files with high-res.
Photobox.co.uk gets my vote.

canvas can be printed large with small images because the texture and lack of sharpness of the print means that it does not really show on canvas compared to gloss. you can get prints done from fluid images but ultimatly canvas is shit. A nice fibre base print of that dog would look sweet

i wouldnt bother with the border as they fold the edge of the image around the edge from what i could see on the one i had done, i had mine done via a friend on AON was ace, il try get pic up no pixilation whatso ever used a 7.1mp amera though got it to about 3ft by 1.5 ft (approx)

If you have average resolution they should still work, they just Interpolate the image before they print it.

i do some work for afew of the local prontaprint shops and have only seen good work from them! however i haven't seen any printing on canvas

I used a local place recommended to me by a family friend who is a photographer.
Cost £60 to be printed and stretched which is a decent price seeing as its 24" x 16"
I will post up a picture of the finished item in a bit.....
