Lost his appeal... opinions?
Personally, I don't know what to think... on the one hand I want to say anyone caught cheating should be banned for life no questions asked... the other hand says sometimes athletes aren't aware that they are taking something and to lose their career etc. ove rone mistake is extremely harsh.
Just can't decide

Personally I think he has done wrong, admitted it and has tried to get himself back on track. And for that he should be applauded.
He was an extremely poor role model when he took the shite, but he has been a very good role model for those that have taken stuff by getting himself into the condition he has done.

Exactly, completely agree with Cosmo. If the olympic comittee and british athletics can't show mercy and applaud someone turning stuff around it makes more of a mockery of athletics than letting him back ever would.

I highly disagree with it. He's obviously learnt his lesson, spent alot of time/effort cleaning his act up and helping to crack down on this type of 'cheating' and is still winning races and extremely fit.
We've lost out on a good sprinter because of it

It doesnt matter if he wants to be or not, the fact he has got off the stuff and still right at the top of his game makes him a role model.

If you're banned for life from the olympics itshould mean life IMO it can't be one rule for one, one rule for another/s.

Something Chambers is unlikely to achieve

Where ther is about 9 or 10 people in the world capable of running Sub 10s, dont get me wrong he has a very slim chance, just can't see it happening

He ran a dead 10 in his selection race.
If they'd let him go to Beijing he'd just get smacked off of his tits and gain at least .30 seconds on that

Chambers PB this season is the 22nd fastest of the season, he may have a chance at bronze but to suggest he will win it is a bit of a stretch

Only way to stop cheaters is to ban them for life if caught.

Team GB don't need to be represented by druggies.
Should've thought about future events when taking the drugs.

Greece can send Thanou who was caught an use was even worse, yet Chambers is not allowed to go - theres no consistency within the sport.....
Personally he cleaned himself up and deserves a second chance.

its because, like everything else in England, the people at the top who run things are the most crooked bastards ever. they've never worked a day in there life, just rich fuckers going fox hunting FACT

Shouldn't go, cheat! Agree with Nath, think about what your risking before you take stuff, if he was American for example half the replies in this thread would change.

agree there, its a massive insult to the athlete who is there instead of chambers, whoever it is hasnt cheated (hopefully) and will most likely feel that chambers is being so arrogant that he feels even if he is allowed to compete that he will automatically get picked.

its probably better he didnt go, because if he did, he'd have to win, otherwise the media would rip him apart like they do every british athlete\sportman who isnt good enough but the media think they should win
