When buying a house, if it has a HIP, do u still have to pay search fees?
Its just ive got my statement of monies owed to solicitors, and its alot more than i was expecting.

How come?? i thought the HIP contained all searches etc but at the sellers expense :/

I was right, the robbing bagers tried to over charge me £250.
Got that knocked off the bill, so roll on 8th Aug

Yes that is the point of HIP......the seller pays for their HIP survey, which includes all searches as part of it so buyers shouldn't be paying for searches as well.
They are sneaky though so watch out!
