We cant help it if our players are a hell of a lot better than yours

Seriously though, its made up of mostly U23 players (3 over allowed in the squad) so it could easily be a good mix in there come 2012.

Aye aye

I think there would have to be some rules regarding the amount of players from each nation to make it fair...What you reckon ?

But if you read the article they have said if other nations do not want to participate can still have a GB team made up of only English players...

Agreed with Cosmo

Get past the stuborness of the "foreigners" and we would produce a really good British team.

Why should be allow a certain amount, players should get in because they are good enough - not because some annoyed welsh or scottish guy is getting pissy as their players simply areny good enough.

There is plenty young scottish talent out there.

I think It's a good idea too if it's done correctly...

Same could be said for the manager situation tbh

Thing is if Fergie gets it, there will be a spreading of Scots.

I wouldn't even go there, the Premiership profits would drop closer to the floor than an Argentinian/Italian after he's been blown over by a gale. Plus it would be rubbish to watch compared to the standard it is now.

How is getting rid of the best players (Gerrard, Rooney, Rio, Terry, infact most the team) going to help things

It would only end up being u23 foreigners as opposed to foreigners of any age in the PL, fact is that most well known countries have better youth squads because their way of bringing them up is far more relaxed and they are encouraged to play their natural game as opposed to doing what is considered right throughout. Plus when they eventually enter the senior team, the media will only give them nightmares at their first mistake anyway.
