Just wondering how id replace the steering wheel i have with another, my current one has an air bag, wont this turn the air bag light on if i disconnect it?

Yes it will. remove the bulb. Job done.

Disconect your battery for an hour or so before disconecting the airbag Or it may go off

I thought that, but wasnt to sure ha, is there no way to not make the light come on?

The easyest way is as Steve X16XE said, remove the bulb its easy to do and you dnt need a bulb in there anyway if you have no airbag

Big hammer. Solves every problems 
Plastic bits round the steering wheel, get them off. Then you'll see 2 screws at the bottom of the plastic trim. Remove them then look at the top of the plastic rim to find 2 more. Get them out aswell. Now the same for the ones either side of the clocks and bobs your dads brother.
Then work out which bulb you need to remove and then in propper haynes style "to refit, do the same in reverse"
Just a guess
