Anyone used one of these, i need to get a cheapo laptop as mines nearly dead, dont user it for much apart from surfing the net.

I can upgrade the RAM and hard drive so that dont bother me too much.

I have a blue one on my desk atm having a little play. A lot less fiddly than the eee and a fair bit quicker.

Perfect for internet and email tbh

OMG that MSI Wind / Advent 4211 is a cool bit of kit for the price. I'm gonna see if I can bully my dad into getting one for himself. To which I can of course borrow

Honestly depends if you can deal/don't mind using the small screens.

Stay clear of Acer, they are a cheap and cheerful brand which suffer from poor build quality.

If you really want a small form factor laptop then go for the new HP version, well built and will last a long time. Yes they will be more expensive than most but well worth the extra cash.

The EEE pc is a cool gadget but in all truth that's all that it is, my brother has one that I got through work and although it does the job if you just want to surf/blog it really isn't up to much more.

Also be aware that most of the cheap small form factor laptops are running Linux and is more complicated to install programmes/work with than windows, it's fine if you know how to use it but I remember when I first used it, was a pain in the ass!
