Ok, I'm trying to get myself an xbox 360 and we all know about the ring of death. I just want to know that if I purchased one from ebay (second hand) then will there still be some kind of cover for me?
I was also looking at a pre-owned one in Gamestation £150 with game + wireless controller. Do I get some kind of protection incase this happens.
I know you'll say I should buy a PS3 but a little too much £ for me right now and I fancy the deal that gamestation has.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

There is a 3 year warranty on the 3 red lights problem, so should be fine if it does happen.

I'm having endless problems trying to send mine back for repair. Nothing but problems. Stupid people on the phone can't even spell my name right, let alone my email address

ok but how do microsoft know how old it is? Serial No?
So if I bought it from some one on ebay, would I just have to ask them how old the console was to find out how much warrenty's left?

I thought red lights didnt require a warranty, they have aknowledged there is an issue and will fix your machine.
Doesnt matter if its second hand either, i know a few people who have done this with second hand machines.
I believe its on the elite that they dont accept without warranty as the elite has the fix already in iirc.

Oh ok, that sounds good. Looks like I may be gettin my grubby hand on the one in Gamestation tonight then.
Should I try and get them to throw in a few extra extras?

The kids who work in gamestation are just low paid employees. They don't have the power to do deals.
Mine is for sale as soon as I get it back (need to send it first).
