I'm a member of Courtneys and just recently the air con hasn't being working. The heat has been unbarable, I was running the other day and I thought I was going to die it was that hot! The staff didn't really seem to care that the air con wasn't working and my Dad who I go with had had enough! Whilst up near Fitness First this morning we decided to take a look and check out the price. We were shown around and  It pisses all over Cournteys! The main gym is pretty big, second gym upstairs, big do-jo/studio, few other areas etc. Lounge area with Wii, free drinks etc. All very impressive so when we got back to the lounge I was expecting to be hit with a £45-50 a month membership.
Now bear in mind I pay £34 a month @ Courtneys with NU staff discount, she said it would be £29 a month!!! SOLD!
Had to leave due to my Mum locking herself out  but off back now for a workout. Now to tell Cournteys I'm quiting the gym!

I'm a member of my local FF, massive gym bit for the boys, massive treadmill/cardio area, you the go upstairs to saunas, turkish bath area, and another flight of stairs to a kick-boxing, aerobics area, I don't get discount but I pay £24.95 a month which I think is good compared to our local Bannatynes which is over £45!

My ex goes to Fitness First in Northampton, its about £29 a month as well... I pay £59 a motnh for my local 'resort'  Which is shit but I onyl really use iot for the pool and it has the nicest pool around, sucks 
Wish a Cannons or FF would iopen nearby

I was a FF member when I lived in York, but not been in years now
There is a JJB fitness place in Selby though, looks pretty cool on the website but is £36 a month
Might go check it out though, see if it's worth it
