You cheeky sod. I am honest enough to say I have virtually no 1/4 mile experience but I know the launch is the important bit. Credit to people that do it but as with anything in life it is experience/talent that gets you there. I can drive, as all my karting trophies will vouch!

So how come all the big power FWD cars we take on track regularly cope perfectly well? 300bhp mk4 Escort, 330bhp mk6 Fiesta, 400bhp mk6 Fiesta, another 330bhp mk6 Fiesta, a 340bhp Focus RS, they all cope fine, so does a customer's 500bhp Focus RS...

As for being driveable by a complete muppet, with that logic, a lot of cars would be 'undriveable' as a muppet would get in, put their fut down and end up in a hedge.

There is a world of difference between cars in the region of 300BHP and something at 669BHP, especially power delivery.

Yeah, you're right. All 669bhp cars have power delivery like a rhino running into a wall. It's never progressive, controllable and useable, ever.

Did you see the other cars I mentioned in my post, the 500bhp Focus for example, which has been out on track on 3 occasions in the last month, not killing anyone even once.

Hopefully you'll believe me when you see how well my bosses Escort copes with 600odd bhp on track, through the front wheels

It would have to be very smooth to not be torching the front wheels to bits in FWD format, as CoG moves to the back under acceleration.
