if i was to change my engine how would i go about changing it on v5

and also whats insurance like ? anywhere you can get quotes online?

any help appreciated thanks

I believe theres a section of the v5 that you fil in and sent to the DVLA for them for change the details and send out a new V5

ant you wont find anything cheap

you need to phone modified car insurance brokers - not sure which ones are usefull for your age though..

dvla wanted proof from me that it'd been done.. just got to send them a letter from a garage prooving it..

what kind 0f prices are people paying for a modified 2.0 corsa at 20? im wanting to do a conversion soon too and wondered how much it might be to insure the car? im 20 with nearly 2 yrs ncb

hi mate ive just this you need to fill in the relevent blue section on your v5 i.e engine cc and number, i had to have proof the engine was fitted and had to get a reciept, they changed my tax code, you have to take your current tax disc and they will change it for you mine is now 1850 and the dvla send your log book away for you and about 3 weeks and you get a new one. you need to take proof of insurance, mot, proof on engine fitted to the car,old tax disc and log book with relevent infomation filled in.

cost me stupid and i MEAN stupi amounts when i had mine with 3 points but when you have the 2 years you should be ok as i was only halfway through a policy

My GF pays around £800 a year for tpft,shes 21 with 0 ncb.Thats with Endsleigh.

i only pay 900 fully comp im only 21 with 3years no claims and thats with irmscher body kit rear disc conversion, engine c20xe, interior every mod insured and thats with adrian flux

If you have insurance for the X14XE already and change to the C20XE, they'll up your monthly payments to reflect the change for a total annual or just pay the difference there and then.
