kinda wanted to get a PS3 for a while now but not too bothered...
mate at work as offered me 40Gb PS3, pad, COD4, drakes fortune, colin mcrae, some blu-ray title, HDMI lead for £200. sound good to you?
i dont really play that many games but do like tiger woods, would be great in HD! and i do want blu-ray i must admit. resident evil also looks to be wicked
good deal? average? shit?

Internet is easy to set up. Burnout's quite good, a few add on to download now/soon too. GTA4 is a laugh for a while too.
If your into Blu-ray more than games then get the Bluetooth DVD remote control. Good for streaming music too, rather than using all the charge in your joypads.

mates leaving a programme on there to rip dvds to the hdd... do you reckon i can fit 40 odd dvds on there!?

That is a fantastic price mate. And the wireless internet is a complete doddle to set up. As long as you have a wireless router, all you do is search for networks, and type in your WPA key (if you have one), and that's it!

Got all my films etc... streaming from my PC to the PS3, so got PC upstairs in the bedroom with 19" monitor and PS3 downstairs on the 40", means i can do most computer stuff downstairs anyway

do i need to get a router if i already have my orange livebox?
i take it no ones cracked the PS3 yet... im not used to spending more than £3 a game
