On the 'New shape' mini's. Probably about 07 onwards.

so anything prior was supercharged,,

Ive read alot about averaging at low 20's mpg with supercharger...

Which are quicker?

Depends on how your drive the supercharged 1.

I got about 28.8 mpg out of mine.

When i have a little play it does go down to about 9mpg, lol.

I get around 36mpg average but thats all motorway miles and 65mph (no playing at all!!!) in a supercharged 210bhp JCW. I can get it better if Im very careful.

The missus does all town driving in a standard supercharged Cooper S and gets about 24!

07 the turbos came in. on the r56 models, 1.6 16v turbo, about 171 bhp i think.

My mates just bought a Cooper Works one, pretty quick dont know if its the turbo or supercharger tho lol
