I insured my car with all the modifications declared. I'm now debating whether or not to go down the throttle body route.
I was wondering what to tell the insurance as I already have an 'induction kit' declared...do they just take the TB's as the same modification or not?
Thanks in advance.

no, tb's will; add a LOT bigger premium onto the insurance..
filters dont really increase power, unlike tb's

Will probably be best to phone them and find out. Will the insurance company know what TB's are?

It depends who your insurance is with, they gave me a quote on the basis of it just having a different engine fitted then they sent me the forms to fill in and I could write absolutely anything I wanted on them and my quote wouldnt change.
Getting online quotes for modified cars is a pain in the arse

Just rang the insurance, they didnt really seem to understand what i meant by throttle bodies.
I described them many times and everytime he typed something in and came back with "Filters (non Standard)", which i already have declared as a BMC CDA.
So what do I do? Ring them again and hope to speak to someonelse?

I'd tell them until they know what your on about.
Imagin if you have a crash and they so 'oh, these are undeclared' just becoz some idiot didn't know what you were on about.

^ Exactly what i wouldn't want to happen. They couldn't do much if the conversation was recorded though could they?

I'd think not to be honest.
