both gonna be over 15 years old and will have been in hot hatches / performance saloons, they will mostly have been ragged
get a decent rebuild and they should be about the samwe?

both can be reliable, and both can be the total opposite...
same as buying any second hand engine, or even car for that matter

as ste said, imo if your thinking of either unless you rebuilding the whole thing fully, they will both let you down

Its only as reliable as the money you spend on it!
Rebuilding it is fine but dont miss out on the sensors as they will fail.

Technically the LET, just because there is more that could go wrong. However its like 6 of one half a dozen of the other really.

( 1st was the ht lead wasnt tight on the spark plug and it missed sum times) ( 2nd one was water got in to the ecu plug! cos the cover under the scuttle got broke during the conversion)

I was responding to your comment about it not being complicated, not the initial question.

that is not the ansew to wiring tbh
matching a corsa b and astra loom would be hard, but if you had very clear detail of both it could be done.
same as corsa c / astra

I was meaning the engine isn't complicated "NOT" converting it into a corsa B, as no one said about converting the car, as the thread is about reliability
