Played well for 3 mins. Scored. Then fell to bits. We were utter shite.
Sums it up for me tbh.

Gutted I havent been on upto now, was out after the game Sat and have been in Chester all day doing a stock take in a shop we are buying all day today!
But
We started shocking, was such an easy goal to defend but just didnt. After that though I thought we controlled the game totally - Kuyt, Masch and Riera had excellent games.
Oh - and basically won it without Torres and Gerrard on the pitch

Actually I'm not sure we have, I'll explain why! The quality of players we have is good enough and Tevez and has been exceptional, the Super Cup was evident of this. I think the team we put out at the weekend WAS good enough to beat you, but as the result shows, you were the better team on the day. We started off well then just sat back and let you walk all over us. The second goal we conceived was so avoidable had Giggsy just tapped it out for a corner. As it was he made a mess of it and we deserved to conceive the goal. I don't think having Ronaldo on the pitch against you would have made any differance to the result. We just didn't play well enough on the day.

Yes undoubtedly. He's one of those players who can pop up and create something from nothing even if the team's playing shite. That said if Tevez had stuck that second chance away on Saturday it may have been a different story. But that's what if's and where fore's. It's just one of those things we had to lose one sooner or later and that was it.

Monster Masch was the leading force dominating the midfield
Excellent result, good to see Liverpool fighting back from going 1 down, made a difference with wingers

really? uve looked crap all season tbh, your league position and defeat in the suoper cup is evidence of this IMO and youve hardly looked a goal threat without him
IMO of course
