On the C/20XE the brown plug is NOT a ron plug, its a ecu MAP plug it has two seting A and B, setting A is the better setting leave it on that and forget you ever saw it.
all it does is regulate between 2 fuel maps one is a "quiet" map and gives reduced performance (side B) and one is increased noise(side A).

the XE has a knock circuit so it detects which fuel is being used and adjusts the timing accordingly.

If you put the plug to the B position your car will idle in low rpm's.
If you put the plug to the A position your car will idle with little more rpm's
If you take off the plug you car will idle in higher rpm's than A side.(infinity resistance)
The best position is the A side, but whatever position you choose the most likely is to see no difference in performance. Only on car idle's.
I think A side have 470ohm resistance, B side 220 ohm resistance.

How do you know what side it's set at? The side with the clip on it or the other?
